When you use an update, please make sure that it is the correct update.
It is described below which update belongs to which CD.
The installation of the programs runs under Windows Vista essentially in the same way as under Windows XP and as is described in the manual. The user needs administrator rights (this is the normal case with Windows Vista Home).
Please note the following items:
Demo More Acol Bidding with explanations as
text:
Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP, Vista (about 920KB)
Demo More Acol Bidding with explanations
for 1 hand as sound (+ 4 as text)
Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP, Vista (about 3250KB)
Note:
The demo version with the text explanations is relatively
small,
the 5 shown hands alone make the download worthwhile.
The second demo version contains the explanation
for one hand
(the first hand of the demo version) as sound.
Downloading it makes sense if you intend to buy
the product
and want to make sure before that the sound output
works at your PC.
Installation of the demo version:
1) You download the file to a temporary folder, e.g. "c:\temp";
2) You execute the downloaded file.
2a) It suggests to extract the contained files to a folder
"c:\games\qbtrain.dma".
2b) You start the extraction by the "unzip" button.
3) At the end of the extraction, an installation program starts.
It creates an icon at the desktop and entries in the Windows Start menu.
You may start the program using one of that.
